Grilled Carne Asada from Patron’s Hacienda in Chicago
Patron’s Hacienda in Chicago’s River North neighborhood serves authentic Mexican cooking, fine grilled steaks and chops, and the best margaritas made from our 56 varieties of Tequila. One of our menu specialties is Carne Asada, 10 ounces of seasoned and marinated skirt steak prepared as follows:
- Bistek a la Mexicana – is grilled skirt steak topped with sauteed tomatoes, onions, and jalapeno peppers and served with rice and beans and fresh made guacamole.
- Mar Y Tierra – is marinated and seasoned skirt steak and shrimp served with rice and beans.
- Tampequen – is grilled skirt steak topped with sliced chile poblano and served with a cheese enchilada and rice and beans
- Traditional Carne Asada Platter – is seasoned and marinated skirt steak served with rice and beans.
From our Grill we also offer these other fine cuts of meat: filet mignon, rib eye, NY Strip, porterhouse, and chopped steaks; grilled bone in pork chops, and barbecued baby back ribs seasoned with Mexican seasonings. If you are in the mood for seafood or chicken we offer a variety of authentic Mexican entrees such as pollo al cilantro, pollo achiote, tilapia a la diabla, and brochetas de camaron.
From the Bar we offer 56 varieties of Tequila, served by the ounce, in Tequila flights – 4 half ounce sipping portions, by the bottle, or in one of our fresh squeezed lime juice margaritas. Our Patron’s signature margarita prepared with 2 ounces of El Jimador Tequila and fresh lime juice served frozen or on the rocks, our Cadillac Margarita made with 2 ounces of Tres Generaciones Reposada Tequila, fresh lime juice and 1 ounce of Gran Marnier, or our Billionaire Margarita made with 2 ounces of Casa Noble Anejo, fresh lime juice, and topped with 1 ounce of 150 year old Gran Marnier.
We are open for dinner and late night snacks Sunday through Friday from 5 pm to 2 am and on Saturday from 5 pm to 3 am so stop in for the best carne asada platter and Tequila flight in Chicago.
